Understanding Your EPC Rating

An EPC rating reflects the energy efficiency of a property, running from A (highest efficiency) to G (lowest efficiency). Each band helps you understand the operational costs and carbon footprint of your home.

EPC Rating A is the highest rating, meaning you'll have low energy bills.

B – Highly efficient

It suggests you have good insulation and  a strong resale value of the  property.

C – Average efficient

Rating C is considered a 'good' rating and will be the minimum level in 2030.

D – Below average

Rating D is 'average' and could mean higher energy bills than neessary.

E – Low efficiency

This is the minimum legal standard for renting property. Improvements  should be made.

F – Poor efficiency

Your property is inefficient with energy billa of £200+. It does not meet UK standards.
